PSAT

PSAT Assistance

We’re hosting two information sessions via Zoom for juniors taking the PSAT in October (any parents or teachers who are interested are, of course, welcome to join as well):

Saturday, Sept. 25 at 1:00 PM: “What You Need to Know About the PSAT”
The PSAT isn’t just a practice test—it actually matters, and it could unlock substantial scholarship opportunities, including possible full-ride scholarships at many top Florida universities. What you need to know about the PSAT, the National Merit Scholarship Program, and the Benacquisto Scholarship Program.

Wednesday, Sept. 29 at 6:30 PM: “Preparing for the PSAT”
With PSAT Test Day as soon as Oct. 13 for most students, get ready by learning about the format of the PSAT and helpful study resources. If time permits, we’ll recap National Merit Scholarship Program and Benacquisto Scholarship Program information.

The information sessions are free and open to everyone. Those interested can register at www.psat.fun (or, if they encounter any issues registering online, they can also email me directly at DellosaJ@pbclibrary.org to register).

If your students or your colleagues would be interested in attending, I’d be very grateful if you passed the word along to them. I’ve attached a printable flyer as a PDF.

Also, if any teachers would like me to give a presentation to their juniors during class about the PSAT, I would be more than happy to visit their class via Zoom or Google Meet to talk with their students and answer their questions. I would be available on most days between now and PSAT Test Day.

If you have any questions, or if a teacher would like to schedule a presentation for their class, please feel free to call meat 561-339-6791 or email me at DellosaJ@pbclibrary.org.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,

ATTENTION 10th & 11th Grade Students!

CollegeBoard has added a PSAT administration for students who were not able to test in October. The PSAT will be given at Spanish River High School on January 26, 2021. This test is NOT mandatory; it is simply an opportunity being offered to our 10th and 11th graders.

It is a CollegeBoard rule that students can only take the PSAT once per school year, so students who tested in October are not eligible for the January administration of the PSAT.

Please note: This is a paper/pencil test, and there is no remote option. If you are still remote learning at the time of the test, you will have to come to school to take it, if you wish to do so.

Sign-ups are due by 11:59 PM on Wednesday, December 2, 2020, and we are unable to accept any late registrations.

Please see your grade level below for sign-up information.
